Because he wanted Flores and other non-English speakers in the congregation to be able to better understand the service, Mehl went looking for a translation solution about a year ago when he stumbled upon Wordly.
“I believe what happened during Encounter Week was proof the students of this campus are craving the presence of God, so that when given the opportunity to seek him, they found him right where they were,” Armstrong said.
“I remember praying to God, crying and saying, ‘God, I don’t have anywhere else to go. I don’t have any other reason for life. I need help, and I need you,’” Ethan Hollis said.
“The Baptist Collegiate Ministries across Florida play a strategic role in reaching students on campus and connecting them to local Florida Baptist churches,” said Nathan Schneider, Florida Baptists’ next generation ministry lead catalyst.
“We’ve been doing dead week activities for nine years and it gets bigger and bigger every year,” said Jonathan Chapman, collegiate ministries specialist at ETSU.
Conway Baptist Collegiate Ministry students were treated to pancakes, a hug and an encouraging word on Monday, Dec. 9, as they kicked off finals’ week at University of Central Arkansas.
Southern Baptist student ministry leader Shane Pruitt has been named student ministry instructor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the Jack D. Terry School of Educational Ministries, the seminary announced Nov. 25.
Today the S&C ministry has grown to include a popular Mother’s Day luncheon, back-to-school events, and 4-5 fellowships throughout the year when the church offers parents’ night out.
