People began investigating the problem and it became obvious the well was not recoverable and a new one would have to be drilled. There was only one problem: There wasn’t enough money to get the job done.

“I was almost killed so many times,” Manith Sanchez said. “Anything could have happened to me, but for some reason God prepared my way.”
At the age of 99, Aileen Edwards taught a combined Sunday School class in the main sanctuary on Nov. 19, marking 75 years of Sunday School teaching ministry.

Pastors are not “supermen,” and they still struggle with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges that often lead to ministerial burnout and occasionally suicide.
“This is what God has asked me to do: to shepherd those children and encourage them, and to teach them how to appreciate music and use it for the Lord,” said worship ministries consultant for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board.
