Messengers to the Baptist General Convention of Texas annual meeting soundly defeated a motion affirming the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message, the Southern Baptist Convention statement of faith that limits the role of pastor to men.
The 2024 annual meeting of the Baptist General Association of Virginia closed with a time of remembrance, worship and challenge, as BGAV Executive Director Wayne Faison spoke on the meeting’s theme of “Free Indeed.”
Messengers to the Baptist General Association of Virginia’s annual meeting at FBC Alexandria approved its budget for 2025, elected officers and approved several other items for the upcoming year during the Nov. 13 morning business session.
“Doing a film at the holidays, it can be kind of hard to kind of break through all the noise,” he said. “This is one that I think has the potential to really do it,” says Andy Erwin.
Although the Ford Motor Company is slowing down its production schedule at BlueOval City, there are no plans to pump the brakes on the evangelism efforts in that region.
