Maine church to host five free summer sports camps

Central Church is hosting five free summer sports camps.

The church, which meets in the Maine communities of Augusta, China and Topsham and also has an online church community, averages 1,500–1,700 attendees in weekend worship services.

Sports camps give the church an opportunity to reach children and their families with the gospel, which is presented in the camps’ closing ceremonies.

Central Church’s executive pastor, Bruce Calmes, first connected with the church several years ago through a sports camp his son attended.
