As word continues to spread about her ministry, Allison Bond keeps sending handwritten letters to people she’s never met and probably never will. It’s been her way of sharing God’s love and kindness throughout the world and letting complete strangers know someone cares about them.

Born and raised in northwest Arkansas, Bond suffers from mild cerebral palsy and wanted to find a way to make a difference in the lives of others. During the pandemic, she knew what God was calling her to and was inspired to start the Kindness Through Letters Mission project as a way to bless others.
“I started this back when COVID started and God laid it on my heart that I could make people happy by encouraging them,” Bond recalled.
‘Always do good’
She was inspired by her grandmother, who died in 2015, and told her to “always do good.”
As a way to honor her grandmother, Bond took pen to paper and started writing letters to offer hope and encouragement, and telling people God loves them.
6,000 encouraging letters
To date, she has written more than 6,000 encouragements to inmates, soldiers, sick children and people from various walks of life to lift their spirit.
Bond attends Liberty Baptist Church Lincoln, Arkansas, and said she often receives donations from church members to assist with the ministry.
People post on her Facebook page and contact her other ways to let her know they would like to receive a letter, Bond said.
She never wants to miss an opportunity to reach out and show kindness. Bond writes to every person she hears about, making sure they receive a personalized response, with 27 volunteers who assist her.
“I love spreading God’s love throughout the world,” Bond said. “I have had multiple interviews and helped a media group by encouraging the Florida hurricane victims and California [fire] victims.
Getting the word out
“I have helped so many people in this country; so many of them truly needed it. If anyone knows someone who needs an encouragement card sent to them, please contact me.”
