- Gary Pettit, a bivocational pastor who served Mississippi Baptist churches and the oil industry, died Aug. 14. He was 75.
- Bobby Nowell Parish, who served as pastor of multiple churches in Mississippi and Louisiana, died Aug. 31. He was 87.
- Jimmie Dale Houston, who served as a pastor more than 50 years, died Sept. 6. He was 86.
- Paul Wade Morris, an ordained minister and member of First Baptist Church Bruce, died Sept. 7. He was 58.
- Jimmie Dale Houston, a pastor for more than 50 years, died Sept. 6. He was 86.
- Edgar Lee Wright, a longtime pastor of churches in Brookhaven and Natchez, died Sept. 17. He was 85.
- David W. Koons, who served in ministry for 59 years, died Sept. 11. He was 84.
- Foy Edwin Killingsworth,who was a pastor for more than 62 years, died Sept. 25. He was 98.
- John Sharp, who led eight churches over a 50-year period, and continued to serve in retirement, died Oct. 7. He was 76.
