The law, which took effect in 2024, reportedly redefines “sex” to include “the termination of a pregnancy.” It also bars employers from declining to hire applicants who support abortion. The policy compels pro-life ministries to contradict their beliefs, noted Bryan Neihart, Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel. The organizations said they risk penalties and have adjusted job postings to comply with the law.
