SBC Executive Committee members have made their way to the Nashville area for their fall meeting (Sept. 21–22). The Monday evening plenary session begins at 6:30 p.m.

What to expect?
Monday’s plenary session will provide reports from EC President Jeff Iorg and newly elected SBC President Willy Rice, who will presenting his first report to the Executive Committee.
Rice recently announced the formation of the Commission on Women Serving in Pastoral Ministry. The group’s goal, according to Rice, is “to help Southern Baptists achieve greater clarity and consensus around historic Baptist convictions, grounded in Scripture, concerning the office of pastor and women serving in ministry.” He is expected by some to give a related update on this recent announcement during his report.
