The West End Baptist Church in Paducah, Kentucky, honored longtime member of the congregation Pearl Holmes and celebrated her 103rd birthday Sunday.
Holmes has been a member of the church for around 52 years, and said she attributes her long life to prayer and her faith in God.
“When I lay my body down, I thank God in heaven for allowing me to live on his world, and the beauty of the world that He has created for us humans to live in,” she said.
