Arkansas choir performs ‘This is Christmas’ at Carnegie Hall

Members of the Sanctuary Choir of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, recently went to The Big Apple to perform at Carnegie Hall.

The historic and iconic music venue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, is known for its legendary acoustics and as a premier destination for world-class performances.

The group of 20 choir members, along with their families and friends, traveled to New York from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 to participate in a special performance of “This is Christmas” on Monday, Dec. 1, with the composer, Mary McDonald, conducting the Distinguished Concerts International (DCI) singers and full professional orchestra. This was the choir’s second time performing at Carnegie Hall.

The first time was in 2019.
