As a pastor as well as a law enforcement officer, Randle Record has seen the plague of pornography and screen-time addiction impacting people of all backgrounds.
At the start of this school year, the Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) launched “Fireteams,” small groups focused on helping young men find freedom and forgiveness from the addictive sin of pornography.
Scott Van Neste, the pastor of Bellepoint Baptist, was thankful the church was spared from the recent floodwaters. It came close with water encircling the church located near the Kentucky River, he said.
The flooding follows tornadoes in 2021 and 2024, but despite the setbacks, “the community is doing well,” said Mike Jicka, pastor of Dawson Springs First Baptist Church.

The baptism total — the highest since 2016 — encourages Kentucky Baptists as they consider how many have moved from death unto life by trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior.
