When 293 delegates gathered in 1845 in Augusta, Georgia, for the inaugural meeting of the convention, their first resolution expressed the desire to “organize a convention for the propagation of the gospel.”
Pastor Roger Sherrer said, “It was the most impactful knock on a door I had ever made.”

Belleview Baptist Church lost their building Dec. 9 in a fire. “It’s probably a total loss,” Bob Curtis, director of missions for the Mineral Area Baptist Association, said. “They’re in a holding pattern, waiting on insurance.”
“Pat’s Saturday Sew Day” is the Grover Park Baptist Church quilt ministry in Warrensburg, Missouri, and in less than two years, it has given away 277 quilts and counting.
