Webb noted he’s been in contact with Kendrick Neal, California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief director, for the latest updates on the crisis. Relief teams continue to monitor the situation, remain in contact with local officials, and are prepared to respond as the crisis develops. Meanwhile, Webb noted, local officials have set up shelters for those who have been evacuated or lost their homes.
LA County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone noted, “It’s incumbent that everybody have a wildfire action plan for their home if they live in a brush covered area. Please visit the L.A. County Fire Department website for ready, set, go information.”
