Calvary Heritage Baptist Church in Columbia, Missouri, has called Ted Middleton as pastor. Middleton is the immediate past president of the Missouri Baptist Convention Pastors Conference and has served on the board of the Missouri Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries.
Middleton began his pastorate at Calvary Heritage on Jan. 1.
For the past 11 years he was pastor of First Baptist Church Lewistown. During that time, the church grew from 20 to more than 150 in worship and more than 200 in online worship. Prior to serving at FBC Lewistown, he served as pastor of First Baptist Church Moscow Mills, and First Baptist Church Smithton, Illinois. Both these churches also saw their congregations grow. He served as youth pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hannibal, Missouri, leading their youth group to grow from 28 to more than 100 in five years. He also served on the staff of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as special events coordinator for the St. Louis area.
Middleton is a native of Columbia, Illinois, and a graduate of Columbia High School. He attended Hannibal-LaGrange Baptist University and is enrolled at Spurgeon College, an arm of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Middleton is an accomplished musician, soloist and worship leader. In addition to his duties as pastor, he will serve as the church’s worship leader and music coordinator.
