Associations of churches from across the nation can play a major role in preserving Southern Baptist history, and the Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives is eager to help.
Churches and individuals are encouraged to mark their calendars to pray on Oct. 22, when Southern Baptists are scheduled to observe a Day of Prayer for Associational Missions.
“There are fewer Christians in Utah than any country in the western hemisphere,” according to Plant4thegospel.com. “The next closest would be Cuba at 6%.”
Given the secrecy and shame surrounding pornography usage, researchers offer widely divergent statistics about its prevalence in the church. But few question the reality of the problem — both in the pews and in the pulpits.

“People aren’t always going to react well to the gospel,” said Payton Beucher, a student at Northwest Missouri State University. “But you don’t give people the excuse to throw it back in your face.”
At a gathering of pastors, the discussion turned to the leadership pipeline crisis. Specifically mentioned was the crisis of finding church staff but also the lack of church planters for new congregations or multisite campuses.
