The top legislative body of the United Methodist Church passed a series of measures Thursday (April 25) to restructure the worldwide denomination to give each region greater equity in tailoring church life to its own customs and traditions.
The one-day workshop for women’s ministry leaders in the state offered a time of networking, training and friendship development for women serving in the local church.
“We (Christians) have no excuse not to be living for God in everything we do,” one attendee noted. “Hearing that reminder … was just what I needed, and I will always be thankful for that.”
