The top legislative body of the United Methodist Church passed a series of measures Thursday (April 25) to restructure the worldwide denomination to give each region greater equity in tailoring church life to its own customs and traditions.

The Woman’s Missionary Union of Texas Pursue Conference kept the Great Commission focus that has been at the heart of the organization since its beginning, while setting the stage for coming shifts.

This year’s Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) Missions Celebration will be held in the Indiana Convention Center just prior to the 2o24 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting.

The melody was the same, but the voices united in worship sang in numerous languages. “Then sings my soul,” sang a group in Arabic. Deaf believers lifted hands to sign “My Savior, God to thee, how great Thou Art.”

“More churches are wanting to get back to emphasizing missions education and RAs is a great way to do that for young men who will carry on that passion for missions into their teenage and adult years.”

More than 900 preschool, children’s, family ministry, pre-teen, church weekday and disability ministry leaders from the southeast region of the United States gathered on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary April 5-6 …
