Students at NOBTS and Leavell College are getting a “strong theological education” for much less money than at other seminaries thanks to Southern Baptists’ gifts through the Cooperative Program.
Highlighting four strategic priorities — missional faithfulness, faculty strength, student success and a flourishing campus community — Allen said incoming residential master’s degree-seeking students can receive a full tuition scholarship for their first year.
In his report to messengers at the 2025 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Dallas, Gateway Seminary President Adam Groza said the seminary is “healthy, … growing and … focused.”

In addition to electing North Carolina pastor Clint Pressley for a second term as Southern Baptist Convention president, messengers to the annual meeting June 10–11 in Dallas elected a slate of other leaders.
Recalling his early years playing football, Clint Pressley recalled how there were some players he was friends with and some he “barely knew their name.”
Held June 9 prior to the 2025 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting, the race featured 11 participants from around the SBC who competed inside the exhibit hall.
