Tony Martin, editor of The Baptist Record, journal of the Mississippi Baptist Convention, retired at the end of the year after 25 years of service to Mississippi Baptists.
They hold various signs proclaiming, “Jesus is Lord,” “Jesus saves me,” and “We can pray for you,” written in three languages — Chinese, English and Spanish. They also distribute gospel tracts, candies and other items.

For 30 years, First Baptist Church Epworth, Georgia, has taken shoeboxes to South Dakota, and now to Oklahoma. On Dec. 5, 37 church members traveled to the Muscogee-Seminole-Wichita Indian Baptist Association in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to deliver 1,904 shoeboxes so children could have a better Christmas.
