A Christian couple’s battle to regain custody of their two daughters suffered a setback after the European Court of Human Rights ruled their case “inadmissible,” ending appeals, Decision Magazine reported.
Daniel and Bianca Samson have been separated from their children since 2022 after a retracted abuse claim. According to Alliance Defending Freedom International, authorities later labeled the parents “religious extremists.” Though the couple was cleared of abuse and completed parenting requirements, the daughters remain in foster care and separated. ADF attorneys contend the case reflects religious discrimination. They also reportedly warn the girls’ mental health has significantly declined, and parents said both girls have attempted suicide.
