Editor position open for North Carolina’s Biblical Recorder

North Carolina’s Biblical Recorder (a state Baptist media outlet and content provider) is now accepting resumés for a full-time executive editor. According to information provided by the board of directors and current BR staff, the editor search committee is searching for a self-starter with journalistic experience and a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field (master’s degree preferred). The person also should be able to display discernment in covering and disseminating North Carolina Baptist news.

While a working knowledge of all current journalistic platforms will be needed, the ideal candidate also will understand print media and be able to explore the best way forward for the BR. The new editor will work with the board of directors to determine how best to serve North Carolina Baptists in the days ahead.

Resumés will be accepted through Feb. 18. More information as well as a candidate profile can be found at brnow.org/executive-editor. Interested candidates should apply by emailing editorsearch@brnow.org.

Former BR editor Allan Blume has been serving, and will continue serving, as interim editor through the transition period.
