Daniel Patterson, acting president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, has announced plans to leave the organization.
Patterson tweeted Aug. 22 that he has been nominated to serve as executive pastor of Central Baptist Church in College Station, Texas. Central’s pastor, Phillip Bethancourt, previously served as ERLC executive vice president.
Travis Wussow, who previously served the ERLC as vice president for public policy and general counsel, left the ERLC in July to become managing director for immigration at Stand Together, an immigration advocacy group.
ERLC trustees named a presidential search committee in July.
