Arkansas Hispanic Woman’s Missionary Union and Iglesia Bautista Nueva Jerusalén partnered to provide a student missions event for Arkansas Baptist Hispanic churches.
Diana Rodriguez, president of Arkansas Hispanic WMU, and Abel Martinez, pastor of the Little Rock congregation, said more than 90 students and leaders from seven congregations participated in the July 29 event.
The students were challenged to give their all to Christ through obedience, saying “yes” to His plan for them and being faithful to His call to share the gospel.
Tools for sharing Christ
Julia Baird, an International Mission Board NextGen strategist, and Annel Robayna, IMB Hispanic church mobilization strategist, shared their missions story with the students and leaders, presenting tools for sharing Christ with family members, friends and co-workers.
They also encouraged the group to be creative in presenting Christ through storytelling, songs, drama and personal testimonies.
Four students made professions of faith in Christ and 10 others indicated other spiritual commitments.
