Florida Baptists welcome Rummage as new executive director

The Florida Baptist State Board of Missions welcomed Stephen Rummage as the new executive director-treasurer of the Florida Baptist Convention during its August 2024 meeting.

Rummage succeeds Tommy Green, who retired after serving in the role since 2015. Rummage praised Green’s guidance and expressed excitement for the future of the convention.

Retirement celebration

During the meeting, a retirement celebration was held for Green, where he was honored for his integrity and leadership, and was bestowed the title of executive director-treasurer emeritus.

The next State Board of Missions meeting is scheduled for Nov. 12 in Orlando.
