The FBI is investigating another assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, which was reported on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 15) at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump remains safe. No injuries were reported.
The suspect, 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was reportedly taken into custody following the incident. U.S. Secret Service agents fired multiple shots on Routh, who fled the scene in an SUV before being apprehended by authorities, according to media reports.
A rifle and a GoPro were found near where the suspect was reportedly hiding in some bushes along the property line. A secret service agent had spotted the barrel of a gun sticking out of a fence and respond immediately to the threat.
This latest attempt on Trump’s life comes two months after the first attempt in Pennsylvania.
