The Northwest Baptist Convention has elected Lance Caddel as its new executive director-treasurer during a special called meeting on Feb. 24. Caddel, who has served as the NWBC’s director of evangelism and church health since 2022, was approved in a 114–7 vote and will assume his new role on March 1.
Caddel succeeds Randy Adams, who announced his retirement last spring. The NWBC, which consists of approximately 520 churches across Oregon, Washington and northern Idaho, operates with a $4 million annual budget.
Emphasizing outreach and collaboration, Caddel encouraged churches to engage their communities and work together for greater impact. The selection process included a nationwide search and careful candidate evaluation, with NWBC leaders praising Caddel’s experience and vision.
Caddel previously served as a pastor and church planter and holds multiple theological degrees. He and his wife, Lisa, are members of Pathway Church, Gresham, Oregon.
