Staff changes

  • Keith Ramage is the new associational missions strategist for Smith Baptist Association, Raleigh.
  • Adam Hippler is the new worship pastor of Live Oak Baptist Church, Gulf Coast Baptist Association.
  • Dustin Stewart is the new pastor of Ridglea Heights Baptist Church, Jackson County Baptist Association. 

Events

  • Higgins Baptist Church, Leake County Baptist Association, hosts a gospel singing the first Friday of every month, 6 p.m. All musicians and singers are invited to participate.
  • Leake County Baptist Association hosts a ministers’ meeting every Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the association office.
  • Oak Grove Baptist Church, Yazoo County Baptist Association, is hosting a revival Sept. 8–11; Sunday a.m. only; 6:30 nightly Monday–Wednesday; speakers: Malcolm Pinion, Darby Combs, Daniel Hall and Mark Bowman.
  • Jasper County Baptist Association’s senior adult rally is Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. and includes lunch. The event will be hosted at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Dan Howard preaching and Jeff Jones singing.
  • Crossroads International Friendship House, Golden Triangle Baptist Association, is hosting a garage give-away for international students in Starkville. Hosted at Bridgeway Church, Sept. 14, 9–11 a.m. Collection week is Sept. 9–13. Items can be dropped off at the GTBA office through Sept. 12. No sofa sleepers and no tube television sets.   • The Great American Adventure Missions Madness 2024 will be held Sept. 14 at First Baptist Church Gulfport for boys and girls from first through sixth grade and their leaders, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. There is a cost to cover lunch and crafts. The deadline to register is Aug. 30. To register your church, email Melissa Doyle at mdd1gr@gmail.com.
  • Trinity Baptist Church, Pine Belt Baptist Association, will host a car show Sept. 14, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. There will also be food trucks, craft vendors and a silent auction. Contact Amanda at 601-394-8348 or email trinitypetalevents@gmail.com. 
  • Lincoln County Baptist Association will host Church Leadership Training, Sept. 24, 5:45–8:45 p.m., Macedonia Baptist Church.

Celebrations

  • Rolling Hills Baptist Church, Pearl River Baptist Association, will celebrate 35 years of ministry with a homecoming and fellowship during the morning service Sept. 1, 10:30 a.m.
  • Jackson County Baptist Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary Sept. 11, 6:30 p.m., First Baptist Church Vancleave.
  • Handsboro Baptist Church, Gulf Coast Baptist Association, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary.
