Obituaries
- Dale Funderburg, who had served as pastor of First Baptist Church West Point since June 2003, died Feb. 10. He was 64.
- James Edward Gibson Jr., who served several churches in Mississippi including New Hope Baptist Church, Meridian, where he retired in 2013, died Jan. 31. He was 87.
- Jimmy Walker, who served several Mississippi churches over his more than 40 years of ministry, died Jan. 22. He was 89.

- Jamie Wallace is the new pastor of Southway Baptist Church, Brookhaven, Lincoln County Baptist Association.
- Eric Kittrell is the new Baptist Student Union director for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, George-Greene Baptist Association.
