Obituaries
- Ronnie “Jiggs” Maxie, who served churches in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, died Nov. 27 in Hattiesburg.
He was 79. - John Lewis Gainer, longtime pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Columbus, died Dec. 13. He was 76.

- Congratulations Jay and Heather White who were the winners in a pastor appreciation month giveaway from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. White is pastor of East Heights Baptist Church, Tupelo. They received $5,000 for the church’s needs and $5,000 for a family vacation.
