Obituaries
- Excail Burleson, who led six churches as pastor before he retired and served as interim pastor to four others, died Feb. 12. He was 92.
- H. Douglas Palmer, who served in a variety of ministry roles in Mississippi, Florida and Georgia and as a reservist and active duty chaplain in the U.S. Navy, died Feb. 19 in Virginia. He was 89.
- Sammy Wallace Smith, who led churches in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, died Feb. 19. He was 87.
- Terrell Stringer, former pastor of Skene Baptist Church, Boyle, and minister for 55 years, died Feb. 14 in Louisiana. He was 78.
