Nigerian pastor Ezekiel Dachomo, an outspoken critic of the ongoing massacre of Nigerian Christians, said radicalized Muslim Fulani herdsmen slaughtered nine members of his family in July in retaliation for his advocacy. According to threats issued by the group, Dachomo is next.

Dachomo, the regional leader of the Church of Christ in Nations, gained global attention in an October 2025 viral video. Officiating the mass burial of slaughtered Christians, he called on U.S. and United Nations leaders to intervene in the targeted violence against Nigerians. By the end of 2025, he had conducted more than 70 mass burials of Christians, he said.
The July attack that claimed nine members of Dachomo’s family ocurred in the Riyom district of Plateau State in Nigeria’s Middle Beltne, according to multiple sources. Among those reportedly killed in the attack was a 2-month-old baby. The killers were allegedly searching for Dachomo. Arriving at the family compound located in a remote village, they asked, “Where is the father of this house?” and said, “Today, you will learn a hard lesson,” before they opened fire.
Dachomo publicly responded to the attack on X, urging the world to recognize the violence that is occurring against him and his family.
