This is the first in a series on singleness and all the complexities that it entails. I think it’s so important to talk about the experience of singleness and how it impacts our faith and how it’s lived out within our churches. There’s just so much to the experience of singleness, and when I look at the world around me, a lot of people who are single. My prayer is that this series increases our understanding of our brothers and sisters in Christ and challenges any inherent misunderstandings we have about singleness and God.
Today I’ve got my friend, Grace Thornton, with me. Grace was my first podcast guest when we started Amplify, and she graciously agreed to come back. Grace is the first person I met who really made me question a lot of inherent ideas I had about what the faithfulness of God looked like, which 23-year-old me definitely assumed included a house, husband and kids.
