Jennifer Davis Rash (center) shares with Alabama Baptists during the recent state convention annual meeting. Rash explained how The Baptist Paper is filling a need across the nation by providing access for all Baptists to stay connected and informed without spin or attack-style reporting. “Now more than ever, we need a calm voice of truth, grace and love,” Rash said.

Rashional Thoughts: Grateful for you, dear friends — honored to join you in the journey

Have you ever met someone for the first time and connected immediately, as if you had known him or her all your life? You know what I’m talking about — you just get each other.

Well, that’s exactly how our team feels about you. The bond was instant, and we sometimes forget we’ve not always had the opportunity to chat on a regular basis like we do now.

Still, while we technically only met in this format a little more than six months ago, you’ve been on our heart for more than a decade.

God planted the seed in several staff members’ hearts, individually and then collectively, years ago and gradually brought it all into focus for us as we grew and developed.

The concept of how we would find each other unfolded right in front of us when it became apparent how fractured and disconnected Southern Baptists had become.

‘No Baptist left behind’

Now more than ever, a calm voice of truth, grace and love is needed — and it is our honor to serve you in this way.

Working in partnership with our peers across the nation, we strive to supplement the work being done in each state and ensure all Baptists have access to the information and resources they need to stay connected and to navigate the world today, no matter their preferred method of media consumption.

It’s our “no Baptist left behind” motto because we understand how overwhelming it is to attempt to keep up with all that is swirling around in all aspects of life right now.

We have you in mind as we compile each issue and work to provide a healthy balance of inspirational content alongside the news of the day.

We also hope the resource articles meet you where you are and provide practical tips, helps and encouragement.

It’s not unusual for us to hear from readers who reach out months after a specific topic was featured to ask us to send them the information again.

The situation wasn’t real for them at the time they noticed the coverage, but it surfaced later, and they knew we could help.

We want to always be available to do the same for you, and we are grateful for your messages of encouragement and suggestions for improvement.

As we continue growing and developing in all areas of content and coverage, we are honored to serve you as individuals, families, congregations and communities of faith.

We need your help

We do need your help to continue spreading the word about The Baptist Paper, solidifying your subscriptions and sharing with us how we can better communicate in all forms.

If you happen to enjoy good storytelling through podcasting, then be sure to check out our new serial-style, seasonal podcast called Stories (found anywhere you get your podcasts or on our website at thebaptistpaper.org/podcasts).

We love showcasing God’s redeeming work through everyday life scenarios as those featured share their stories in their own words.

And we are able to do what we do because of your investment in us as individuals and the overall ministry.

Thank you for believing in us, challenging us to always dig deep and encouraging us to strive for excellence.

Thank you for celebrating when we achieve and showing grace when we fall short.

You are why we are here, and your connection makes all the difference as we seek to share truth with compassion.
