Resignations continue to trickle in from the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee board of trustees, taking the number up to 12 who have resigned since the discussions over waiving attorney-client privilege began officially in September. Read the background and list of those who have resigned here.
Executive Committee chairman Rolland Slade also is planning to call a special meeting of the board no later than Nov. 11 to regroup since all that has happened in October, namely the resignation of the president and CEO Ronnie Floyd.
It is unclear what the exact agenda for the meeting will be, but a group of 25 trustees sent a letter requesting the meeting take place and bylaws state such a request must be honored within 30 days.
