Ida Mae Hays, a retired International Mission Board missionary to Brazil, died Feb. 1.
While a missionary, Hays supervised the building of more than 30 churches. A chapel at a Baptist camp is named in her honor.
She retired from the IMB in 2002.

First Baptist Church Hazlehurst welcomed hundreds of middle school and high school athletes from across southeast Georgia on Thursday, July 16, for a Night of Champions outreach that ended with about 120 students making spiritual decisions.
