Robert E. “Rob” Jackson lives in Daphne, Alabama, where he and his wife, Tonya, are members of Eastern Shore Baptist Church, Daphne.
Rob is a native of Alabama, and a graduate of Samford University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a master’s degree and a doctor of philosophy.
He served in pastoral ministry for several years in Alabama and Kentucky and was pastor of Central Baptist Church, Decatur, for more than 14 years. In 2018, he became executive director of the Institute for Global Leadership at University of Mobile. He also served UM as associate professor of Christian studies and assistant to the president for church relations. He recently served as vice president of church and community resources for Volunteers of America.
Rob is now director of the office of church health for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
