SBC 2021: Morning recap for June 14

Here’s what happened this morning as the Southern Baptist Convention gathered in Nashville.

Southern Baptist chaplains were honored for their military service June 14 during a chaplains’ breakfast hosted by the North American Mission Board.

The Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders gathered for the second day of their 2-day meeting.

This year’s SEND Conference continued with breakout sessions for pastors, women, kids, students and young adults.

The SBC Executive Committee met this morning. In the business session, a motion to add to the meeting’s agenda a discussion of the expansion of a third-party investigation of the EC and its handling of sexual abuse allegations within convention churches failed to garner enough votes.
