Here’s what happened this morning as the 2021 Annual Meeting got underway:
*Messengers heard reports from GuideStone Financial Resources, the Executive Committee report, NAMB Crossover and the North American Mission Board report.
*Multiple questions came from the floor during the reports and during the time for introduction of new motions.
*A proposal to change the ministry assignment of Lifeway Christian Resources failed in a ballot vote. 56% of messengers voted against the change; 43% voted in favor.
*Worship led by Branden Williams and The Summit Church worship team preceded final event on the morning program.
*SBC President J.D. Greear gave the President’s Address.
