SBC 2022: June 14 AM Recap

Highlights from the first session of the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California:

Many messengers spent a good part of the morning session at microphones proposing motions, suggesting amendments to resolutions and debating a request by the Credentials Committee for help clarifying how to assess church staff titles that include pastor in the name but the position is not the senior or lead pastor.
The discussions will continue as soon as the afternoon session starts up.
Also taking place during the morning session was a Sending Celebration for 52 new missionaries along with reports from the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board and GuideStone Financial Resources.
