The Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders is sponsoring an Aug. 31 webinar on “Building a culture of prayer in an association” with John Franklin, Tim Smith and Bob Lowman.
“These are all men of prayer and advocates of prayer in their associations,” said SBCAL president and CEO Ray Gentry.
Franklin serves Christian County Baptist Association in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and is a conference leader in the area of prayer and spiritual awakening. He also is an author of five books about prayer, faith and spiritual warfare. He previously served as prayer specialist for Lifeway Christian Resources and in the pastorate.
Smith serves Floyd County Baptist Association in Rome, Georgia, and previously served Georgia Baptists for more than 20 years in various roles including faith development, discipleship, Sunday School, small groups and Bible study ministries.
Lowman has served Metrolina Baptist Association in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 17 years. He is active in SBC PrayerLink and just completed a three-year term on the SBCAL executive team, including serving as the chairman for the 2022–23 term.
