“The bad news is that most churches continue to feel pain and discomfort from current economic realities,” said Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, on economy.
If you’re looking for a Southern Baptist church, you’re most likely to find one in the South. If you want to find a growing Southern Baptist church, however, you might try the Northeast.
Is it possible the Church as a whole struggles (outside of a crisis) to genuinely, thoroughly and consistently show up for the various communities needing consistent care across the nation and around the world?
“Not everyone is called to adopt or foster, and that’s okay. But we can all lighten the load in some way,” says Meredith Weber, an adoption and foster care coordinator.
According to a Lifeway Research study, 52% of American Protestant churchgoers say their church teaches God will bless them if they give more money to their church and charities, with 24% strongly agreeing.
