More than 40 students from First Baptist Church Zachary, Louisiana, have embraced God’s call to be missionaries in their schools, and subsequently have begun to see a spiritual harvest from their collective outreach efforts.
“We will train you to do some very hard things if you are willing to step forward and trust God,” IMB’s Project 3000 global coordinator said.
The East Texas Baptist University baseball team showed God’s love by serving communities in the Dominican Republic last month.
From Alaska to Maine, nearly 200 missions leaders from across the country gathered on Missionary Ridge in Birmingham for WMU’s January Board Meeting this past weekend (Jan. 6–8).

“We’re really planting God’s seed in their lives,” Travis said. For those in this unreached people group, Casa Embera is the only place they might hear the truth of God’s Word.
“It was explained to us that if we waited until we had to close the doors, this would possibly not be a church anymore,” church deacon David Prine said. “It could be a McDonald’s. And we didn’t want that to happen.”
