Texas missions team ventures to North Dakota

A missions team from First Baptist Church Hurst, Texas, recently ventured to Fort Yates, North Dakota, on the Standing Rock Reservation in June. There, they partnered with Western Plains Baptist Church for a week of ministry.

The 41-member team focused on two main projects: dismantling a mobile home on the property of First Baptist Church Fort Yates and hosting family nights at the AJ Agard Multi-Cultural Center.

Decisions for Christ

The family nights, held from a Tuesday to Thursday, featured food arts and crafts, and a gospel-sharing illusionist. The event drew more than 160 attendees each evening.

Part of the team also conducted arts and crafts and gospel-sharing sessions at Tipi Wakan Baptist Church in Cannon Ball, North Dakota.

The week was deemed a success, with several individuals accepting Christ and progress made on the mobile home project. Pastor Julian Burgess praised the team’s dedication and the impact of their work.
