The Baptist Convention of New York has announced that Frank Williams will serve as its next executive director/treasurer, beginning April 2.
Williams, 52, succeeds Terry Robertson, who is retiring after 20 years in the role. He will continue pastoring Wake-Eden Community Baptist Church and Bronx Baptist Church while assuming BCNY leadership.
Experience
Williams has served as president of the National African American Fellowship and in key leadership roles at local, state and national levels. He holds degrees in computer information science, divinity and theology and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Christian apologetics.
BCNY leadership praised his vision for equipping pastors, fostering church collaboration, and strengthening partnerships. Williams, a longtime member of BCNY, expressed gratitude and a commitment to revitalizing the convention’s 500 churches. He emphasized reliance on God’s guidance, citing Zechariah 4:6: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.”
