The West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists has appointed Seth Polk as interim executive director-treasurer as the search begins for a permanent leader. Polk, lead pastor of Cross Lanes Baptist Church and director of Send Network West Virginia, brings more than 30 years of ministry experience. He succeeds Eric W. Ramsey, who will conclude his tenure on April 30 to pastor First Baptist Church Checotah, Oklahoma.
Polk previously served as WVCSB president and trustee chair for the International Mission Board.
The search committee, chaired by Pastor Josh Waybright, is now accepting applications through May 5, 2025, at wvcsb.org/execsearch. Polk emphasized the convention’s health and potential, urging prayer during the transition. Ramsey expressed gratitude for his time with WVCSB and encouraged the churches to remain mission-focused.
