Florida college offers free education to W.Va. students pursuing ministry

In an effort to expand the ministry of West Virginia Baptists, Thomas Kinchen (left), president of the Baptist College of Florida, has announced that BCF will offer tuition-free education to those following a call into ministry. Florida college offers free education to W.Va. students pursuing ministry

West Virginia Southern Baptists who have acknowledged and are pursuing a call to ministry are now eligible for a tuition-free education from the Baptist College of Florida.

The West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists and Baptist College of Florida recently formalized the agreement.

Thomas Kinchen, president of BCF since 1990, served as West Virginia’s third executive director 1986–1990.

The goal is to equip pastors and missionaries from West Virginia for a life of gospel multiplication in and through West Virginia, the WVCSB reported.
