Pre-registration is now open for churches to pre-register messengers for the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting, set for June 11–14 in New Orleans. Pre-registration for childcare is also open.
The annual meeting will be held in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which will also be where the Pastors Conference will be held on June 11–12. For more details on the Pastors Conference, click here.
Growing attendance
In recent years, the SBC has seen attendance at annual meetings soar. Total attendance at the 2021 annual meeting exceeded 21,000. That was the highest attendance in 25 years.
Last year’s meeting in Anaheim drew more than 10,000 people, including 8,133 messengers and 2,856 guests.
The 2023 meeting was originally set to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, but Executive Committee members voted in April 28 to move the meeting to New Orleans due to the growth in attendance of recent gatherings.
