Arkansas missions day reports 56 decisions

Fifty-six salvation decisions were made Saturday, May 4 in Trumann during Trinity Baptist Association’s “T-BA” Day, an annual one-day local missions event.

Taken from Numbers 6:24-26, Associational Missionary Robin Foster said the theme this year was “May the Lord be With You,” a play off the Star Wars phrase, “May the Force be With You.”

Foster said they had 119 church members from 14 churches participate in the event.

They hosted a block party at Cedar Park in Trumann, drawing nearly 300 people, and served 58 families in food distribution at East Side Baptist Church in Trumann.

Washing cars, sharing Jesus

Additionally, participants completed yard work throughout the city of Trumann, door to door evangelism and prayer walking. Foster said they also offered free car washes, “washing many cars while sharing Jesus.”

In conjunction with the association’s missions day, the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Missions Team hosted a medical and dental clinic in Trumann. ABSC Community Missions Strategist Clint Ritchie said they had 63 patients register. Of the 56 salvations reported for the day, 21 were at the clinic.

Medical and dental clinics serve as an avenue for the local church to meet needs and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Community volunteers, dentists and other healthcare workers team up to offer various services, including dental cleanings, tooth extractions, health checks, mammograms and more. Additionally, each patient sits down with a volunteer, who shares with them the Word of God.

The next medical-dental clinic is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at First Baptist Church Camden. These clinics are provided free through the generous giving of ABSC churches to the Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering.
