Disaster Relief: ‘Complete strangers coming in and doing what they can is amazing’

Jimmy Justice could hardly believe his eyes watching Disaster Relief volunteers from South Carolina and Kentucky pitching in to put his flooded mobile home park together again.

“Complete strangers coming in and doing what they can is amazing,” Justice said. “Christ gave it all to us. I was so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start.”

The flood smothered the Dock Justice Mobile Home Park with 16 units and seven more units at a smaller park that Justice owned. “Roughly 25 people are homeless that had homes Saturday morning. It has been tough on me but it’s a lot tougher on these people.”

Justice said because of the work from Disaster Relief, he has had more time to assess damage and find shelter for the mobile home residents.
