Police have reportedly arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the assassination of evangelical Christian activist Charlie Kirk on Utah Valley University’s campus earlier this week, according to multiple news outlets. Authorities held a press conference to share more details Friday morning (Sept. 12).
Kirk, 31, founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot in the neck while debating students Wednesday under a campus tent. Kirk was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Trump said Friday morning on Fox & Friends on Fox News that law enforcement arrested the suspect after someone close to him turned him in, ending a nationwide search.
