Albuquerque congregations provide food bags for food-insecure children

Each week, members of Christ Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico, assemble food bags for 67 children who attend a local elementary school.

The children, identified as food-insecure, receive breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the weekend.

The church works in conjunction with Shine Partnership.

Some church members record themselves reading a children’s book to be shown in virtual classrooms.

When COVID-19 restrictions ease, Christ Church members will offer after-school tutoring, the Baptist New Mexican reported.
